Happy Birthday to my Papa Bear (yup, that's what I call him- so what?)

A very very happy birthday to my dad who turns... ohhhh somewhere between 60 and 62... today! I had my mom scrounge up an old picture of him. What a fox, huh? Real men have chihuahuas. He was way ahead of his time when it came to little dogs. :) Actually, I can't remember what the deal is with the dog. Mom? Any comments?
Anyway, happy birthday, Dad! I hope you have a great day. Thank you for all that you do for us girls. You're the greatest. Really, you are. Love you!!!
Things from the year he was born (a little history lesson for all of you):
*The Yalta Conference
*Hitler commits suicide and Germany surrenders
*The United Nations is established
*The Potsdam Conference
*Hiroshima and Nagasaki
*FDR dies and Truman becomes president
*Academy Award to Going My Way; also National Velvet and The Bells of St. Mary's were in this year
*Top of the charts: Gene Autry, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby
*F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Steinbeck
---->Bonus points to the person with info on the Yalta and Potsdam Conferences. No googling!!

awwwwww, no wonder I married him. WHAT a cutie, eh? I think the Yalta Conference had to do with the Allies setting up terms for Germany's surrender...don't know where it was held....but I'm sure Soviet Union, US and UK would have been present. And as to the tiny dog beside ole Kenny....who says it is his? Maybe the dog was just hopping up for the photo moment. Notice the appropriate smile on the pooch? That phtoto was WAY before MY time. But I'll get more info for ya.

Potsdam Conference was the final meeting of the allied heads of state during WW2 in which they forced Japan to surrender.

The Yalta Conference divided up germany and also formed the UN

And yes I am this big of a nerd
