Did you guys miss me yesterday? I didn't get a free period during the day (can you believe it??), so I didn't even get a chance to update. Let alone look at Toothpaste for Dinner. I think by the end of the day I started to twitch and break into a cold sweat. It wasn't pleasant.Yesterday was an absolute success, though. I taught my class on reality tv. I even told them that I'm in a Fantasy Survivor league. I actually saw the fear in their eyes that said, "Oh, God. One day I'm going to be like that, aren't I?" I assured them that they would, and that it's not quite as sad as it sounds. Then I swore I really do have friends.
Anyway, I awed them with my extensive knowledge of the history of reality TV (the first official reality TV show was "Candid Camera" in 1953). Then we talked about different kinds of reality TV (documentary style/makeover/celebrity reality, and many more). We watched clips of "The Amazing Race," "Dr. Phil," and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?". Yup, they love me now. Their assignment is to make their own reality show.
My brilliant idea is to put all reality hosts against each other in a grudge match, competing to win... er, something. The prize isn't important. What's important is watching Phil, Tyra, Jeff, Anderson Cooper, Ryan Seacrest, and Joe Rogan go head to head. To the death, maybe.
What's YOUR idea? While you're thinking... take this quiz to see if you're as obsessed as I am:
Reality TV Megaquiz..... ooooooooohhhhhh! Scary.

I actually went to the Dr. Phil show taping when Matt and I were in California! How funny is that! They showed me in the audience 3 times when they aired the show. It was surreal!
