Sorry for the delay on the weekend bloggiture. Here we go...! Saturday we went to the River Market for some absolutely fantabulous Greek food from a scary Greek man. He sure does know how to make that falafel though. Mmmmm... After that, we went to the Picasso exhibit at the Arts Center. It was great. SO great, in fact, that I made a worksheet right there on the spot for the kiddoes to fill out and get some extra credit for the espanol. Ahhh yes.
On our way out the door, still fully reveling in all of Picasso's glory, we came across this happy little duck family. Followin' their mama. Everybody say, "awwww!" You know you did in your head already. I know it.
A fun side note, when I googled the Arkansas Arts Center, this is the second picture I found. It's from this website which is kind of hilarious. Look at the other pictures from inside the museum. With commentary. Apparently by a sheep-like thing.
To finish up an almost perfect Saturday, we blew up an above-ground inflatable pool, put it in the backyard, and played Marco Polo. All of us. It was the time of my life. Wish I had pictures of the real thing, but you'll have to settle for.... uhhhh... this fine group of people. In a field. Have a good week, all!

we saw the exhibit when we were in town for mike and aud's wedding (some of aud's mom's art teacher friends were there too, awesome) and i have to say that exhibit rocked my ass. i was pissed they werent selling a book/catalogue to go with it though. it really did kick ass. picasso=kinda my boyfriend.
the exhibit sounds awesome. thank you sheep monkey for taking me on the tour. i especially loved your comments on the disembodied bull's head.
too funny.
I've been meaning to see that (the Picassos). I think it ends soon, so I'd better hurry...oh,wait...I have no free time. Blahh!
P.S. I <3 baby animals, esp. fuzzy ducks.
personally i find the pool picture HIGHLY entertaining and i have great mental images of you in the real pool peeing yourself laughing while playing marco polo. nerdo.
I love how you can see the persons hand holding the monkey-sheep up in several of the pictures. Very professional. Thanks for sharing. I want duckies.
who doesn't want duckies!!!
