I have to say that I love "A Christmas Story" pretty passionately. My Christmas is never complete until I watch it at least 3 times. Unfortunately, TBS has a monopoly on the market, and it's pretty much the only network that shows it, and I do not have cable. Therefore, I have to wait until Christmas day and watch the 24-hours of "A Christmas Story" marathon, much to my mom's chagrin. I can't help it. I love it. When Fleck licks the pole, when Santa kicks Ralphie down the slide, the infamous "ooooooooooooh fudge!" debacle... Who couldn't love it??
I am yet to shop for Christmas. I have purchased one gift, and it was something I ordered online. I think I feel I must get through this week first. This is the worst week at school, with a close second being the week before Spring Break. Must.... push... through...! Two weeks' vacation, here I come.

miracle on 34th street...old or new and scrooged and santa claus is comin to town and...well i love them all. except a christmas story. it always scared and depressed me.
I also really love "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Santa Clause." That Tim Allen's a funny man. But only the first one- none of the sequels.
I believe you're forgetting about the wonderful Dolly Parton Christmas movie...Smoky Mountain Christmas. Actually it should be terrible, but the presence of Dolly Parton cancels that out.
I've become bored with all the oldies but goodies. My new favorite Christmas movie is Elf. A lot of people have said they think its lame, but I don't care. It makes me laugh like no other christmas movie has.
"Twas the Night before Christmas." Although since I was small, I called it The Clock Show. Remember the one with the mice?! So it's a cartoon, LOVE IT still! Second place goes to "The Grinch!"

I enjoy White Christmas...and oldie, but I like Bing Crosby's voice. Anyway...I enjoy the Grinch (the cartoon) too.
I love Elf too... Kristen, JR, and I watched it last Christmas at JR's parents' house they day after those two crazy kids got hitched. Well, I think we slept quite a bit, but I've watched it again.
my husband is OBsessed with a christmas story! and it's filmed in cleveland, and he is from there, and he has to tell me all about it each time....:D
