Little Rock's a jumpin' place.

On tonight's agenda... I'll be at the Rod Stewart rock show extravaganza with the entire fam. Including Jeremy and Greg, who have no idea how much fun they're about to get themselves into. Pictures will be included with the recap. Hot legs.

ALSO... the Riverfest lineup has been announced. The highlights for me are as following:

Friday
9:00 p.m. Pat Benatar (my love is a battlefied, you know)
Saturday
7:00 p.m. GEORGE CLINTON & THE P-FUNK ALLSTARS (flashlight!)
9:30 p.m. LL COOL J (mama said knock you out!)

In celebration of all this fun, what are your TOP 5, all-time favorite concerts you've attended?? Go.

Haha! I'm sure Rod will make it to my top 5, but we'll have to see. This is a really hard one for me--I love so many shows. Ok--no particular order. Blue October, Jackopierce, Dave Matthews, OAR, Aerosmith. Oh, and don't forget Michael Bolton. And Garth and Tricia. And Amy Grant/Michael W. Smith. I can't do this.

1. 311 (because it was my first and i was some half-dressed little kid running around like a crazy person)

2. sarah m. (because i love her with my whole heart)

3. natalie merchant (at the fox in STL which is a great concert venue - she was on stage barefoot with her geeeetar. love.)

4. journey/peter frampton. (nuff said)

5. rolling stones. (hahaha. that is all i am going to say about that one!)

Oh yeah! Natalie Merchant was another favorite. And Harry Connick, Jr.

and 6. (SORRY!)

Ja Rule. (HAHAHAHAH... it was in college. audra & i went and got STEPPED on by some ghetto fabulous friends. it was sweaty and gross and some guy kept trying to lift us up (sweaty pits and all) to see. i think audra left with a bleeding foot and j lo wasn't even there!)

well i don't even know if i've been to five. the only ones i remember are red hot chili peppers, bush, and def leopard. the others were festivals. oh wait there were phases of country and bands like godsmack. i am just going to list those three. we will forget about those other phases of life...and done.

I can't put mine in a particular order, either. Here's mine (this is HARD):
*Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood- I was totally in love with him when I was in 5th grade, and Melissa and I got to go alone. WAY cool.
*Dave Matthews in Antioch, TN (it was like my 4th time to see him, but it was in an outdoor amplitheater and awesome)
*Bush/No Doubt/Goo Goo Dolls- at Barton Colliseum, baby. Valentine's Day when I was 14.
*Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan- in the summer at Ray Winder field. So.much.fun.
*Smashing Pumpkins/Garbage- enough said.

Runners up: Reba & Brooks and Dunn (I know Karl was there... and his sister? Is that right? Help, Karl!), Dixie Chicks, George Straight, Allen Jackson, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, I have to stop now...

I am excluding all festivals. And Lucero. Because that goes without saying.

Perhaps 1. is Phish NYE2000. They played for 12 hours without stopping.
Maybe 2. is Willie at the River circa July 2001, I went with my folks.
Possibly 3. is Dark Star Orchestra, the Dead cover band, in Santa Cruz 2003, details sure are hazy though.
Conceivably 4. is Panic at jackson, ms, Benji got a new scar on his chin from that one, and I punched a catfish in the face...had to.
and Perchance 5. is Lynyrd Skynyrd 1996 when that red neck slapped that a-hole in the face....beautiful.
----Oh, did you say FAVORITE shows....I was thinking LEAST favorite, re-read reasons.

holy hell i want to see pat benatar so bad...
i've only ever seen two concerts in my lifetime because i'm a sad individual. HOWEVER, they were both badass. fleetwood mac at the pyramid and billy joel in dallas. *sigh* i'd go see them both again in a heartbeat.

I'm just gonna leave you with my two favorites b/c I gotta go to class, so...
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers/Foo Fighters. I was having so much fun that I was almost convinced to flash the band, almost. (Of course I didn't, though.)
2. Weezer/Tenacious D. Part of the fun of this one was driving there (to K.C.) the day of, watching the show, and then immediately driving home in a little car with Brooke, Greg Burton, and Caleb. Insanity!
